Team Racing
There is nothing like racing with your family or your friends. Alpine racing is generally an individual event where there is only one winner. When you race as a team you have the opportunity to cheer for your teammates and you sincerely want them to do well.
During the Liberty Mutual Insurance NASTAR National Championships there were team races for two person family teams that featured father/daughter teams, mother/son, brother/sister, grandfather/grandson, etc. Parents racing with their kids dominated the three person family team race and the four or more person family team race provided the Schlopy family with an opportunity to show that three generations of Schlopy's are hard to beat. If there is a faster family in the country, I would like to meet them.
Results:
The Friends Race provided groups of friends to organize teams of eight with the best four team handicaps scoring for the team. Awards were presented to teams in the Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze Divisions.
The team from Hidden Valley Ski Area, MO recorded the best team medal point average to win the Platinum Team Division.
